Also, the lack of version control is a bummer-if you update a plugin in your collection later, older sites won’t know. They stay stuck on the version you originally exported.

And yeah, the developer’s unknown, which makes me pause a little. But it’s not some sketchy .exe file-it’s hosted on WordPress.org, so that’s a decent red flag check. Still, it’d be nice to see a changelog or a GitHub page.

Bottom line

If you’re a developer or admin doing repeat WordPress setups, WPCore Plugin Manager for WordPress is worth the download. It’s free, straightforward, and cuts down on tedious work. Just don’t expect it to replace full deployment tools like WP CLI or Bedrock. But for quick, consistent plugin rollouts across sites? Absolutely keep it in your toolkit.
